What:

The Industrial Areas Foundation is nationally and internationally recognized for the use of community organizing tools to recruit and develop talented leaders and knit communities together for collective action.

Over the course of the training senior IAF organizers will teach what those tools are, how to use them to bring about sustainable community change, and how these same tools can be exercised by clergy and leaders in religious and secular institutions to build more powerful, welcoming, and relational churches, temples, and organizations.

Who Should Attend:

Clergy, Executive Directors, and top leaders from JU member institutions are invited to participate. We suggest bringing a team of 3-5 leaders who have had some experience with JU. (ex: attending actions or Core Team/Introductory training).

Testimonials:

"The training provided by IAF was pivotal for me. It helped me see a direct path forward in the work we do. I feel empowered, excited, and equipped like never before. I am deeply grated that I was afforded the opportunity to go." - Allison Mahaley, UU Congregation of Hillsborough

"The training helped me reflect on how to organize people, what approach to use, and the relationships we have to establish in order to receive the power we need to succeed. In moving forward I now have a direction that I would like to follow." - Yvette Matthews, Community Empowerment Fund

Tuition is offered free of charge for JU members
