About Orange County Justice United

Orange County Justice United builds relationships between Orange County community leaders and organizations, to work together to identify and make tangible change on local social justice issues. We are a non-partisan, multi-racial, multi-lingual, multi-issue coalition of 23 congregations and community groups across Orange County. We unite to put our vision and our ideals into action -- moving the world as it is closer to the world as it should be.

Since our founding in 2009, we've made tangible change on:

  • Affordable and livable housing
  • Access to healthcare (including mental health)
  • Education
  • Immigrant rights
  • The justice system
  • Access to transportation and essential services

We are dedicated to the formation of community leaders who want to make change. We connect individuals and organizations, across divides, multiplying their power to make change. We take on overwhelming problems and carve out specific, measurable, winnable issues. We organize people by the hundreds to change the power balance, so that those traditionally in power are accountable to the community. We set high goals, design innovative strategies, and stick with issues until they are fully addressed.

Most importantly, we challenge people to imagine the changes they can create together, to make our community more just for all.
