Join Justice United leaders from across Orange County for an important internal assembly on March 2. Over 100 leaders have already committed to attend.
Together we will launch our relational canvassing campaign to engage hundreds of local residents in key neighborhoods where Justice United has been invited to help neighbors connect, identify their top concerns, and organize for change. Already we have heard stories of gentrification, lack of services, negligent or absentee landlords, and substandard living conditions. On March 2 we will hear moving testimony from residents and we will sign up for canvassing shifts and for mixed house meetings.
New OCS Superintendent Dr. Monique Felder and Board of Education Chair Will Atherton have committed to attend this assembly and report on progress addressing racial hiring disparities within teaching staff. At our last leaders meeting JU leaders reported on promising changes with hiring over the last hiring season. Join us on March 2 to learn how we can support and deepen this success, and also how we can organize to protect this progress from reactionaries.
