What: A small group meeting to discuss our lived experiences with law enforcement and the legal system in Orange County
This meeting is part of a conversation series being held across Orange County this spring, with the intention to: 1) build relationships across divides of race, culture, and language; 2) to discuss how certain law enforcement practices disproportionately impact immigrants and people of color; 3) to identify tangible issues for action; 4) improve relationships with local law enforcement and develop a more just legal system.
Who: For members of St. Matthews Episcopal, UU Congregation of Hillsborough, St. Thomas More, and Kehillah Synagogue, along with members of the community that surround those institutions.
***We respectfully request that elected officials, candidates for office, and law enforcement not attend these conversations at this time***
Where: St. Matthews Episcopal Church Hillsborough, 210 St. Marys Rd. Park in Board of Education Parking lot, proceed up stairs to second floor of Hayden Building. See map below
