10:30 am - noon: Black and Indigenous History Walking Tour with the Honorable Judge Beverly Scarlett and Horace Johnson, Jr. (Gather at the Historic County Courthouse Lawn.)
12 - 1:30 pm: Lunch
This tour and lunch gathering follows a vision and commitment that formed at our Justice United leaders' evaluation in June. We reflected on how gentrification has intensified the lack of diversity in downtown "Historic Hillsborough." As we committed to training and relationship-building to organize for change, we also shaped a vision to learn about our full community history, as well as to hold a publicly visible, multi-racial gathering in the heart of Orange County.
