• That Orange County only has 1.5 designated homes for people reentering from incarceration -- meaning our reentry coordinators many times have no other option but to point people to the nearest bridge for shelter?
• Or that difficulty affording home repairs is pushing longtime homeowners out of their homes -- but that because of lack of funds, the County's home repairs list is approximately 200 households long? And that even funds for "emergency repairs" aren't reaching people for up to 2 years?
• Or that because of challenges applying for financial assistance with UNC Hospital, people who lost their vision are living off their savings because they can't work without their vision -- but are being refused eye surgery because they can't confirm how they'll pay for the surgery?
