Location: Hybrid (primarily remote). Familiarity with the Triangle area/availability to meet in-person in an Orange County location twice during contract is ideal.

Orange County Justice United is seeking a part-time, contract fundraising professional to help to establish our sustainer giving program across 15+ of our member churches and community organizations. This fundraiser will:

  1. Conduct an upgrade campaign for existing donors, converting their one-time annual gifts to larger sustaining gifts.
  2. Conduct a warm donor acquisition campaign with individual community members who have been involved with the organization.
  3. Conduct a cold donor acquisition campaign, through partnership with an OCJU volunteer in each member organization, by doing outreach to each member organization and tailoring a communications plan based on the opportunity in each of the 15 member organizations. For example, some congregations may be willing to send an email to its membership on OCJU's behalf, or include the campaign in its bulletin, or make an announcement during services, etc.

Each of these three campaigns will require:

  • Defining an outreach approach that includes channel of contact and schedule.
  • Creating assets to support the outreach, like call scripts and templated emails.
  • Reporting on key performance metrics like conversion rate, number of donors, average gift and total revenue throughout the campaigns.

To apply: Please send your resume, cover letter describing your experience with the campaign elements above, and three references from previous fundraising work to Julia Sendor, [email protected].
