Description:
Justice United is organizing a virtual, countywide clergy meeting to allow us an opportunity to learn how our colleagues and their congregations are doing in this moment, and how Justice United and the Industrial Areas Foundation can support you.

We will also discuss a strategy to organize around our priorities during this epidemic that includes but is not limited to:

1) Addressing Institutional Challenges: how to continue to relate to disbursed members, reduce operating costs, and raise funds in a time of crisis;

2) Responding to External Issues: acting effectively to resolve the immediate pressures and concerns facing our most vulnerable congregants and community members.

For example:

- This weekend VOICE in Northern Virginia took action to compel a local grocery store to stop price gouging working class immigrant customers;

- Last week ACT in Anne Arundel County, Maryland identified an unspent, $10 million snow mitigation fund which is now funding door to door delivery of school lunches to every student in their district.

Please join us for this important clergy meeting to learn how we can best support each other, the well being of our members, and the health of our institutions. Please confirm your attendance here.
