Join Justice United leaders from across the County for a public assembly with District Attorney Jeff Nieman and the leadership of Alliance Health for a public accountability session to hear their reports about progress meeting their commitments made to JU last year. Our total turnout goal is 350.
The purpose of this second assembly is to demonstrate to the District Attorney and Alliance Health that Justice United is a real organization with the ability to turn out people consistently, over time. This is a key element of our power and our ability to make change. Our ability to act consistently on our interests is why decision makers decide to give us deals in the first place. If we want to get good results from our negotiations with the District Attorney and Alliance Health, then we need to show up in big numbers this May.
For a refresher, you can read our write ups from last year's assemblies with then-candidate Nieman and Alliance Health last year:
- YES! DA Candidates Commit to All Proposals (April 28)
- Success! Mental Health Assembly Wins Key Commitments (Sept 14)
This event will be live streamed, however, in-person participation is strongly encouraged. We will be asking all participants to wear masks.
